I love all incarnations of the Dead, particularly PLQ. Listening to the solos on Let It Grow and Fire on the Mountain, John reminds of Trey A's tone and phrasing which I've never noticed elsewhere in his playing.

Most of the second set is quite inspired!!

Subject: One Small Quibble
Thanks for posting this fine recording of a fine show. I just have one small quibble with the tracking: the piano solo before "Two Djinn" is actually the introduction to the song, so it shouldn't really be tracked separately. But I love it anyway!

I am really enjoying seeing the band get tighter and tighter while seeing the consistency go up. Terrapin is very smooth.

I have been waiting ever since I went to this St. Patty's Day show to get a recording of it, glad to hear it is a good one too! This show is really great, the second set is a real barn burner. The Fire>Cumberland Blues was out of this world and really brought the show to the next level. The Terrapin Suite was of course wonderful to hear and calls in to question why the Dead never performed Terrapin in its entirety (except that one time minus the lyrics on 3-18-77). Feelin' Alright was most excellent. Thanks again for the sweet recording!
